I am a sea cadet instructor. (for anyone who doesn't know what that is, think boyscouts with military uniforms and protocol) the other night I'm teaching a lesson on working together as a team and the concept of leadership comes up, and a kid makes a crack about Hitler being his hero. We were in a Legion (again, if you don't know what a Legion is, its a "club" basically, established for Veterans after WWII), anywayz, I explain to the kid that he's sitting in a building dedicated to the memory of men and women who died fighting Hitler. That the boy's family, friends, myself, and likely most of the people in the building that night wouldn't exist if Hitler had won.

Hitler did do good for Germany though, gave everyone jobs, food, and a place to live. Of course it was at munition plants for the war, but a job is a job, especially during the depression I think anyone would've jumped on the opportunity to create some munitions.

We all know that every one starts at the bottom with art, people arn'tjust great at it, but its a process of thought, artist vary in many ways. Today in the western Society, cooking, acting, drawing, dacing singing, all forms of art.
Fuck the artist for now, the question is, whether or not this person was a good painter.
I for one have never been into painting, but color and back drop and everything goes into creating a painting.
I think that this artist did have some measure of talent, some of his flowers are very nice.
His humans and animals on the other hand are very premature looking and to me are just practice peices to get better. This person never got any better at art.
Today flower painting can easily (depending on artist variation, media type) go for thousands, some go for 2 or 3 bucks.
The point is, is that the art school saw the (concept from high school) from art 1 when they wanted artist from a higher lvl of art, from art class 4. Were I went to high school at art 4 students were more well practices with skills color, and coordination of objects and arrangement.

I agree, that is was terrible, what happened under dictators like Pol Pot, Stalin, Mao, ... and of course things like that happen today as well.
There is one big difference between the killings that took place under the named dictators and hitler. They had a wierd and terrible reason for it (get more power, get rid of the oppostion, build weapons,...). Hitlers reason was blind hate (maybe also fear, jealousy) against people that are different. He shared that hate with so many people and he satisfied this people. There were people in other countries with the same hate and there are people with this kind of hate today. That is why they were (and are) calling for a leader like hitler.
We all have to resist and oppose this people, to avoid things like that happen again. They have to know, that there are people who will not let that happen again.

His paintings are all very sad feeling... his flowers point down as if they're dying... the colors he uses are very bleak and sad. The way he draws his buildings makes them feel empty and eery. What happened in Germany was not an isolated incident. This kind of stuff has been happening to the Jews for thousands of years, nearly everywhere they go. Spain and France are fairly recent examples. Think about it, there is a reason for this. Hitler just gives you cowards an easy target, a new and enormously popular face of the devil. Cowards I say because no one person took the blame for what happened to the Native Americans, or Australians, or whatever native peoples that have been either exterminated or raped into an ugly state of muttness, a fate worse than death. The Jews were not natives to Europe or Germany. I believe that Art is something that has value because of its individuality. I have never seen a painting of a flower, building or landscape with the same composition and texture, feel, of these peices. I find them almost haunting, especially the wistful watery colouring of the valley and lake. I find them amazing, and I think Hitler was only denied admission to the Vienna school to which he applied because those who could grant it were too constrained by their own concepts of what was Art to appreciate the young Hitler's works. And these ARE Hitlers paintings, it was hhs Father, Alois, who's surnamme was Schicklgruber, and he had that legaly changed to Hitler in the 1880's, as it was the surname of his adopted father (his step-fathers brother). Actually the surname was Hiedler, the priest who entered it into the official Austrian records miss spelt it, thus, though his Mr Heidler had always spelt his name Heidler, it became "Officially" 'HITLER' due to a incompetent scribe. By the time the Nazi's took power in 1933 (not completely I know), the German peoples had a 500,000 year old history in the part of the world even the Ancients called 'Germania'. Any attempts at isolating the Germanic gene pool into some super race would only have ensured that any conditions and retardations formed within, or bred into the gene pool would have no means of exit or diloution. This applies to ALL peoples of the world, in cluding Jews and Gypsies (two of the 'unter-mensch' races labeled by the Nazi's as "culture destroyers", and two groups who also have very limited external genetic intake).
If the Nazi's had followed and succeeded in their vision, they woud have creted even more under developed beings like so many people in this thread. Like wise, with acheiving the destruction of the Jews and other 'sub-humans', they would have deleted a huge chunk of valuable genetic material.
What is needed is the antithesis of this. Inter-racial and geographical genetic exchange should be encouraged, too many millenia of human development have passed for any one group to be 'pure', so isolation and 'in-breeding' will not be the sucess those who are exponents of it believe it will be.
Conversely, with enough exchange and migration of genetics from diferent groups, the 'purity' of the matrix can be assured, through constant redeffinition and progression.

Hitler as an artist was above average in skill his use of media and subject shows his own feelings through. Even his portraits show a sense of deep saddness and strength of carisma. Though they are not the best examples of art to have come from thier time they are in thier own rights fairly well executed. I believe that hitler was in this sense a fantastic artist showing through emotion in almost all of his works. These works cry out from a desperate sad little boy trapped within a body missing his mother. Hating his father. The use of colour within his paintings seems over vivid and slightly wrong fro the setting. Overall i would say his work is as i have already stated above average. Much better than anything i could do.

Hitler wasn't that amaxing of an artist. I can see why he didn't make it into art school. He was pretty average, nothing he produced was eye popping with creativity, style or flavour. His work is pretty average, and ultimately, pretty boring. He did much better as a ruler (not that I am appraising his cruel deeds and military campaigns). You have to admit that he was rather successful where politics were concerned.
Ok I want to start here and look at this in a clear light. I will comment on the artistry to avoid the political jargon. As an artist, I see Adolf's work as reaching the level of competency to seperate himself from badly executed art. However, there is a lack of personality in the works. Why are they so plain? Was he afraid of messing up the execution with his own expression? Perhaps he just enjoyed completing art pieces that were figuratively correct, and maybe, if this was a challenge for him, that was his goal. I have only one statement for the body of works; kitchen or bathroom, where do I hang this?

I am a sea cadet instructor. (for anyone who doesn't know what that is, think boyscouts with military uniforms and protocol) the other night I'm teaching a lesson on working together as a team and the concept of leadership comes up, and a kid makes a crack about Hitler being his hero. We were in a Legion (again, if you don't know what a Legion is, its a "club" basically, established for Veterans after WWII), anywayz, I explain to the kid that he's sitting in a building dedicated to the memory of men and women who died fighting Hitler. That the boy's family, friends, myself, and likely most of the people in the building that night wouldn't exist if Hitler had won.

We all know that every one starts at the bottom with art, people arn'tjust great at it, but its a process of thought, artist vary in many ways. Today in the western Society, cooking, acting, drawing, dacing singing, all forms of art.

I think that this artist did have some measure of talent, some of his flowers are very nice.

There is one big difference between the killings that took place under the named dictators and hitler. They had a wierd and terrible reason for it (get more power, get rid of the oppostion, build weapons,...). Hitlers reason was blind hate (maybe also fear, jealousy) against people that are different. He shared that hate with so many people and he satisfied this people. There were people in other countries with the same hate and there are people with this kind of hate today. That is why they were (and are) calling for a leader like hitler.
We all have to resist and oppose this people, to avoid things like that happen again. They have to know, that there are people who will not let that happen again.

His paintings are all very sad feeling... his flowers point down as if they're dying... the colors he uses are very bleak and sad. The way he draws his buildings makes them feel empty and eery. I probably wouldn't say he didn't have feelings, because it's obvious he did if he could paint like this. He's definately showing emotion through his art.

What happened in Germany was not an isolated incident. This kind of stuff has been happening to the Jews for thousands of years, nearly everywhere they go. Spain and France are fairly recent examples. Think about it, there is a reason for this. Hitler just gives you cowards an easy target, a new and enormously popular face of the devil. Cowards I say because no one person took the blame for what happened to the Native Americans, or Australians, or whatever native peoples that have been either exterminated or raped into an ugly state of muttness, a fate worse than death. The Jews were not natives to Europe or Germany. While I'm not personally a supporter of genocide, it's quite a different story to move into a place and wipe out the owners than it is to exterminate an invader to one's home territory. It's too convenient to put it all off on Hitler while ignoring your own people's historical bloodlust, a practice that is extremely cowardly and ignorant to say the least.

I believe that Art is something that has value because of its individuality. I have never seen a painting of a flower, building or landscape with the same composition and texture, feel, of these peices. I find them almost haunting, especially the wistful watery colouring of the valley and lake. I find them amazing, and I think Hitler was only denied admission to the Vienna school to which he applied because those who could grant it were too constrained by their own concepts of what was Art to appreciate the young Hitler's works. And these ARE Hitlers paintings, it was hhs Father, Alois, who's surnamme was Schicklgruber, and he had that legaly changed to Hitler in the 1880's, as it was the surname of his adopted father (his step-fathers brother). Actually the surname was Hiedler, the priest who entered it into the official Austrian records miss spelt it, thus, though his Mr Heidler had always spelt his name Heidler, it became "Officially" 'HITLER' due to a incompetent scribe. So Adolph Hitler was exactly that, not Jewish, just of the first generation to be BORN to a bastardised name (he had two brothers and a sister... well more, but the rest died as children, though his baby brother, who died in 1960 really was a retarded person... perhaps that explains his position on disabilities, or further confuses it).

If the Nazi's had followed and succeeded in their vision, they woud have creted even more under developed beings like so many people in this thread. Like wise, with acheiving the destruction of the Jews and other 'sub-humans', they would have deleted a huge chunk of valuable genetic material.
What is needed is the antithesis of this. Inter-racial and geographical genetic exchange should be encouraged, too many millenia of human development have passed for any one group to be 'pure', so isolation and 'in-breeding' will not be the sucess those who are exponents of it believe it will be.
Conversely, with enough exchange and migration of genetics from diferent groups, the 'purity' of the matrix can be assured, through constant redeffinition and progression.

Hitler as an artist was above average in skill his use of media and subject shows his own feelings through. Even his portraits show a sense of deep saddness and strength of carisma. Though they are not the best examples of art to have come from thier time they are in thier own rights fairly well executed. I believe that hitler was in this sense a fantastic artist showing through emotion in almost all of his works. These works cry out from a desperate sad little boy trapped within a body missing his mother. Hating his father. The use of colour within his paintings seems over vivid and slightly wrong fro the setting. Overall i would say his work is as i have already stated above average. Much better than anything i could do.
Once again i do not condone anything that this man stood for i am merely giving my analysis of his work.

Hitler wasn't that amaxing of an artist. I can see why he didn't make it into art school. He was pretty average, nothing he produced was eye popping with creativity, style or flavour. His work is pretty average, and ultimately, pretty boring. He did much better as a ruler (not that I am appraising his cruel deeds and military campaigns). You have to admit that he was rather successful where politics were concerned.

Ok I want to start here and look at this in a clear light. Firstly I am doing this because I feel there is a very serious lesson to be learned here.I heard growing up here in the uk that Hitler was a monster and a fool.I always knew there was more to it than all this. I will comment on the artistry to avoid the political jargon. As an artist, I see Adolf's work as reaching the level of competency to seperate himself from badly executed art. However, there is a lack of personality in the works. Why are they so plain? Was he afraid of messing up the execution with his own expression? Perhaps he just enjoyed completing art pieces that were figuratively correct, and maybe, if this was a challenge for him, that was his goal. I have only one statement for the body of works; kitchen or bathroom, where do I hang this?
